There is four sides to a square as the seasons, the cardinal points, the elements (Water, Fire, Air, Earth )

The cubic throne informs us that the Emperor reigns over a material world. The four signs of stability, being the number of the finite world.

The man has gained good experience of life, his foundations are stable.

Harmony must be the rule

The scepter and the shield invite us to see that the emperor don't reign as a tyrant over his kingdom but like a good and just Lord , faithful to his ideals.

The Emperor expresses self-control. In response to the precedent arcane, The Emperor show us that your project should always be in agreement with your deep self.
